Ballroom Dancing - Dance Lessons
The
Monday night dance classes at the American Legion are not "strictly
ballroom". Instructor George Alder teaches the waltz, swing (also
known as jitterbug), cha-cha, fox trot and rhumba. He’s also working
with everyone on the electric slide and is hoping to add the twist and
stroll. These are the dances which can be done anywhere. The basic
ballroom steps are ones that most people know some variation of
already.
Lesson are 2nd, 3rd and 4th Monday each
month and ballroom dance is last Friday of each month unless otherwise
specified on the Speak Easy Singles Calendar.
While you learn
dance steps you also meet new people and the dance itself is an
enjoyable social evening. An invitation is extended for people to stop
by and give it a whirl. For further information, you can call
Ruth @
766-1041or
Barbara 949-2552.
