OLIVE M. HAMRICK

Olive M. Hamrick, 97, of Charleston passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012 at CAMC General.

She was born April 6, 1915 in Alum Creek a daughter of the late Herbert and Emma Sisson Means. She was preceded in death by her husband Les Hamrick, one son Les Hamrick, Jr., and seven sisters and three brothers.

Olive was former employee at the Beni Kedem Shrine, Charleston as an Administrative Assistant. She was a 65 year member of the West Virginia Order of the Eastern Star Tiskelwah Chapter #45, and was a member of the Baptist Temple. She was a volunteer for Community Music, West Virginia Cultural Center, and a former usher for the West Virginia Symphony.

Survivors include one brother William "Bill" Means of Ocala, Fl, one granddaughter Hannah Hamrick, her good friend Norma Blankenship, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 2pm at Wilson Funeral Home, Charleston with Dr. Dennis Johnson officiating. Entombment will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Cross Lanes.

Visitation will be from noon until 1:30 where there will be a West Virginia Eastern Star Service with Tiskelwah Chapter #45 starting at 1:30 until service time.
